Absolute Quantum Gravimeter: World first commercial matter-wave gravimeter! 

Absolute Quantum Gravimeter is the first commercial gravimeter based on laser-cooled atoms. This instrument relies on a high-precision cold-atom measurement technique, which has been proclaimed by the BIPM (Bureau International des Poids et Mesures) as an official primary method for the measurement of gravity. Absolute Quantum Gravimeter performs reliable absolute gravity measurements at the μGal level to support scientific activities in Geodynamics (e.g. Seismology and Volcanology), Geodesy and Hydrology among others.  Absolute Quantum Gravimeter features a simple optomechanical architecture which makes the sensor head very compact. Commercial telecom fiber laser technologies are used in order to make the laser system very compact and robust. All our components are qualified. This Gravimeter utilizes an active vibration compensation system (without any mechanical assemble), that is much more effective than the superspring and enables Absolute Quantum Gravimeter to operate in noisy environments.

A single unit of Absolute Quantum Gravimeter one can perform : station based long-term monitoring of g in presence of  seismic noise ; local absolute determination of g and easy change of location ; gravity mapping without redundant loops and high-precision transfers of g (indoor mapping, gravity gradients …).

 

A hybridized version of our Absolute Quantum Gravimeter allows to obtain an acceleration signal which is :

1.Very large band [DC ; 430 Hz], and ultra-sensitive

2.Accurate and ultra-stable on the long-term

 

A hybridized version of our Absolute Quantum Gravimeter provides both the value of g and seismic signal simultaneously. This is especially intended to support seismic and tectonic surveys.
