The European project PIMAP on the road to the North America market

At the Laser World of Photonics exhibition held in Munich from 24 to 27 June 2019, the ALPHA-RLH cluster signed two partnership agreements in the framework of the European project PIMAP Partnership: the first with Optonique, the excellent pole in optics-photonics in Quebec, the second with the American cluster Optics Valley (Arizona Technology Council).

Coordinated by ALPHA-RLH, associated with three European clusters (Triple Steelix - Sweden, Business Joensuu - Finland and Produtech - Portugal), the PIMAP project aims to support the integration of photonic and electronic-microwave technologies in the international markets related to the industry of the future. Two key markets have been identified: the United States and Canada.

During international missions in 2019 (Photonics West exhibition in San Francisco, Cluster Matchmaking Event in Toronto), the ALPHA-RLH cluster was able to build relationships with Optonique and Optics Valley, which resulted in the formalization of two partnerships. 

With the support of ECCP clusters and the European Commission, a new stage opens with future exchanges and business opportunities for SMEs from Optonique, Optics Valley, the ALPHA-RLH cluster and the other 3 European clusters involved in the PIMAP project.
